Vanitha Rangaraju-Ramanan (born 1970) is an Indian animator who works for Industrial Light & Magic. Rangaraju was part of the team that won a 2002 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for movie Shrek, for which she was credited as lighting technical director.
Rangaraju was born 1970 in Tiruchirappalli, where she went to school and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. In 1996, she began a master's program at the University of Texas at Austin and worked in an intership for Industrial Light & Magic in 1998. Instead of completing her master's degree Rangaraju joined the company to work on animations.
